Charlie McLaughlin

Charlie McLaughlin joined the Community and Governmental Relations team in 2001 as the Director of Commonwealth Relations.

In his role as Senior Director of Commonwealth Relations, he represents the University in Harrisburg, fostering the relationship between the Commonwealth and the University. He is also tasked with lobbying for University funding, grants, and any legislation affecting the University.

Charlie is a graduate of Duquesne University and has worked in student services at both the undergarduate and graduate levels. 

Prior to joining the Governmental Relations Office, McLaughlin volunteered on numerous  state, local, and judicial campaigns. He served as an elected committee person in the City of Pittsburgh, and interned for two summers with Pittsburgh City Council.
